Edit: found a used bottle deep in the cupboard, but it doesn't even work as a blender anymore. Actually only suitable as a blender and even here it's not my first choice.

Day trip Bielefeld April 2025. Three Sixty pub. Another rum that I wouldn't buy in my life, but it's okay. Slightly alcoholic and woody on the nose. Then slightly roasted on the palate and coffee is recognizable.

the color and black branding and name (negra=black) suggest a flavorful dark or maybe well aged Rum, but as its priced just as the other cheap Baccardis its obviously none of that. The taste reminds me a lot of Havana 3 years, wich I prefer though. I assume a similar age. The color comes from LOTS of coloring then.

Just good for making cocktails

A slightly sweet smell, a bit woody, not unpleasant. The taste can not quite keep up, slightly fruity and sweet with quite sharp finish.

Dosyć słodki, w zapachu dużo kakao, pralin rumowych, karmelu, toffi, trochę stęchlizny i mokrego drewna (często czuję w Bacardi) miód, owoce. W smaku deserowo, słodko, czekoladowo, kawowo. Solidny przeciętniak, bezpieczna opcja w sklepie gdy nie ma nic innego.

For in the mix

Attention: The bottlings in Germany seem to have been reduced in the meantime all from 40% to 37.5%. The database is no longer correct, new creation or adjustment would possibly be necessary. The first of the series with the really wood and fruit come through. The nose is very pleasant for the price range, lots of citrus and a touch of brandy.Enormously sweet compared to the Blanca and Oro. For this also finally with flavor, though merely flat toasty and caramel. Some citrus remains, though limo-like. Overall for the price good mixer - under 10€ in the (frequent) offer there is no comparison.

Smell is very sweet and thick. Lots of sweetness and dried date or raisin. There is some spices like cinnamon, and a little bit of sugary caramel smell. The taste is predominantly a honey and dried fruit taste. A tiny bit of alcohol, and wood. Finish is short to medium with the dates and molasses sticking around.

It is criminally underrated. Got this one from Puerto Rico and had to drink it only because a friend recommended it. Its really not as up there as 50cent had us believing in In Da Club but its not a rubbish rum. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The earthy taste and smoothness on the tongue.

For me to drink in cocktails, solo I would be afraid to try it

Gutes Mittelmaß, zum Mischen etc.

Coming from Bacardi pallet, this one brings sharp, a bit spicy and wooden taste to the table. I dont know is it me today but the alcoholic burn is a bit stronger for me although the legs are a bit thinner and less condensed (it is around 37%). The smell is a bit spicy and pleasant but the taste doesnt keep up with it. Overall not a bad dark rum. Mixed with simple juices it really opens up the taste (or used for other cocktails). Would not recommend for special occasions but as a simple drink at the bar - for sure.

Tasted 19-01-2016 Lifeless this offers nothing in the production of dark rum . Cloying treacle and sugar notes that just smash even cola to pieces , that's when you know it's sweet .
