The finish is not too dominant and brings a pleasant complexity. This makes the rum overall very drinkable. Really delicious!

Mmh it's definitely a good Panama rum, no question about that... Unfortunately, I find the finish very very dominant, it almost overwhelms the base product... that's a shame because the 24y is actually very tasty and doesn't need a finish.

I actually hoped for something nicer, but oh well. Red wine is definitely recognizable in nose and palate, of course also the cask. Otherwise, we have spice, mocha and cocoa. But I find the finish too strong.

The visual impression is great: the rum shimmers in the glass with a rich red-brown color. On the nose I have a smell I can't quite grasp. Something like a dusty wood workshop or old dusty attic but somehow "better" Otherwise wonderfully round: dried fruits, caramel, roasted aromas, a little cask. Overall very sweet. The alcohol does not disturb at all. The rum is exactly as the nose suggests on the palate. Added is a distinct port wine note. The medium-long aftertaste is consistent with the previous impressions. A super relaxed rum with a well-fitting, distinct character of the port wine cask. Price-wise borderline!

I find that it tastes too much like red wine in my opinion. Unfortunately, that doesn't really suit my taste right now. Normally I am very forgiving with el ron del Artesano, but this time I find that the finish overshoots a bit too much in my opinion. But well, tastes differ.
