El Ron del Artesano 24 years Cask Strength
Port wine leads the whole show here — red-wine and port notes run through the nose and palate, backed by mocha, cocoa and dusty old oak from 24 years in the barrel. At 53.9% the alcohol sits well, but the finish divides people: some love the extra complexity, others say the cask overshoots and buries an otherwise lovely Panama rum.

- Mocha and cocoa
