Almost a Jamaican

This rather odd finish works surprisingly well. Like it.

The nose invites you into floral and fruity aromas. The aquavit is present but gentle. Beautiful roundness and balance. On the palate, the sweetness of Fiji is present at first. The aquavit tempers the Fiji and the spiciness comes in at the end. The finish is medium to long, with a touch of astringency at the very end. A rum that may destabilize, but which brings a pleasant curiosity. To be savored.

A rather average Fiji rum. The One Time Limited 2005 from Plantation is fruitier and altogether more complex and significantly better.
