8,6:On the nose, a very attractive first impression with esters, fermented tropical fruits like banana, dried ones, menthol, vegetal notes as an olive, hay and peppery cane with roasted wood tones like nuts, especially hazelnuts, leather and chocolate. On aeration, fermented red fruits arise, citrus, smoky and floral notes, chesnuts. 8,1:On the palate, the attack rather spicy, salty and woody, fruity, fermented with banana.The wood is roasted, smoky with caramel, chocolate and nuts.The cane is vegetal, floral, later herbaceous with black tea, chesnuts, olive.Tannins show up rather quickly, waxy.Dried fruits, citrus and vanilla comfort rather intense pressure on our tasting buds. 8,2:The finish is slightly rounder, dry and tannic, variety of nicely balanced notes intermingle like confectionery, spices, fermented fruits, vegetal cane, licorice and roasted wood tones, menthol.. A nice Savanna, not as ester-heavy as some others, but still top. This rum is somehow very smoky and woody, and menthol is also recognizable on the nose and palate. Also some black pepper on the palate.

First complicated nose not engaging with olive/brine... Fortunately, it diminishes after aeration. Smoky side, almost peaty, too present.

30.05.2020 Had a nice afternoon with friends and friends of friends including some nice bottles of rum. Notes Medium dark colour. Nose Wood, light smoke, fruity, raisin, ester, vegetal, light mint. Palate Round, fresh, wood, roasted, medium dry, light mint, dried fruit, faint licorice. Finish Medium to long, wood, light smoke, light licorice, raisin, light leather.

Premier nez Bois d Inde et girofle à fond limite c’est que ça!! Puis on a des fleur je dirais même de la rose et de la framboise. Et après aération y’a des agrumes un genre d hydromel fumée. En bouche l’attaque est très douce, puis une claque d’épices et de menthol dans un bois humide peu astringent mais très présent! Un gourmandise de sirop arrive ensuite

Unusual! A mentholated nose with a background of oak and fruit, on the palate, I find a smoky side from the start then fruit..... it's really good and not comparable to anything I've tried before. I'd give it an overall score of 80, but it's possible that I'll come back to it and improve my score.

Rumy z destilerie Savanna jsou jedny z mych nejoblibenejsich. Doporucuji kazdemu vyzkouset zejmena vuce esterove kousky jako je Grand arome nebo HERR. Tolik ovoce v nekolika malo kapkach tekutiny jste dlouho necitili.

Bislang hatte ich mit den Agricoles von Savanna nur anteilig in ihren hauseigenen Blends Kontakt, jetzt also in Reinform. Hochgradig komplex nimmt dieser Rhum eine enorme Entwicklung im Glas, was ich ausgesprochen spannend finde. Allerdings ist zu jedem Zeitpunkt irgendetwas dabei, was mich ein klein wenig stört. Im Geruch eine unterschwellige Plastiknote, am Gaumen eine subtile seifige Bitterkeit und im Nachgeschmack ein Aroma, das mich an verrauchtes Leder erinnert. Hat sehr viele schöne Momente, trifft aber nicht ganz meinen Geschmack.

A beautiful, intense, fruity-spicy nose. Tropical fruit, intense citrus, a pleasant menthol note, plus a fine, creamy, almost creamy caramel-honey sweetness. A slightly acidic wine smell and a bit of smoky roastiness can be detected. Very round.Distinctly dry, woody-fruity palate. Artificially fruity like strawberry lychee. Has something of soap powder. In addition, slightly in the direction of red wine. Becomes a little sweeter at the back, caramel.In the finish remains a grassy, artificial fruitiness.Great Savanna!

Moje první savana. Ve vůni mi to připomíná chalupařinu - kůže kouř a ďrevo které přechází do obocných tónů. Po napití ústa naplní hromada dřeve, která ale velmi rychle přejde do ovocných tónu která na patře zůstavají dlouho a dlouho. Hřejivej pocit po celé cestě až do bříška taky zůstává neuvěřitelně dlouho. Super.

A very complex rum. Fruit bomb in the nose, filled me very well. Full-bodied and intense on the palate, perhaps a little too much wood for me, yet very tasty with a long smoky / woody finish.

Bah c’est pas mauvais du tout. J’ai pu lire des commentaires assez cinglants sur cette bouteille et au final ça se boit bien. Après une bonne aération, on a un produit plutôt agréable à déguster.
