The second Savanna unshared cask for Germany. What's going on here in the glass is totally wild! Totally astringent with heaps of aromas of wood, spice, stone fruits such as apricot and peach, also accompanied by cognac. A chaos of flavors on the palate. The alcohol is well integrated. The finish is very long, with the typical strawberry yoghurt cautiously emerging. I think this bottling is very cool! But I can also understand people who don't like it.

01.05.2021 Only have notes on this one. Nose: wood, roasted, medicinal, fruity, glue, citrus. Palate: wood, spicy, citrus, fruity, cinnamon. Finish: long and warm, pineapple, spice, earthy, mint.

The nose is industrial, with varnish and glue. Ripe, very ripe fruit. Toasted dried fruit and dark chocolate. On the palate, there's yellow fruit (banana, fig...) but above all spice (ginger-pepper). Rather dry, with tobacco notes. The finish is long on burnt wood and olive. This aromatic profile is very singular, and far from greedy. It's very atypical and I didn't really like it. I didn't really enjoy this rum, apart from trying to unravel the aromas.

On the nose, mainly floral, medicinal notes and the wood of the ex-cognac barrel show. Despite the intense wood notes, it smells surprisingly fresh and almost reminds of wild mint. On the palate, this rum is an intense experience of both peppery notes and tea hints as well as refreshing fruit notes. The tannins of the French barrel also come through strongly in the taste. An intense rum that I can definitely recommend.

Very complex nose - from esters, through spices, floral notes to the cask, everything is there. Also top in taste for me, the cognac cask brings a lot of power. The pepper note is distinctive here.

Rums from the Savanna distillery are among my favorites. I recommend everyone try especially the ester-heavy pieces like Grand Arome or HERR. You haven't felt so much fruit in just a few drops of liquid for a long time.

On the nose, the alcohol is superbly integrated, which will delight savanna fans. Requires a few minutes of aheration The palate is a little more disconcerting: the alcohol is less well integrated and notes of soap/solvent can surely be felt on the nose.
