For me, still the reference matured Clairins. Perfect balance between distillate and barrel, complex, independent and intense, with well integrated alcohol. At the issue price, a fantastic PLV.

Weiterhin der beste Clairin, den ich im Glas hatte. Ist sicherlich nicht der komplexeste und der Einfluss des Bielle-Fasses überlagert den Charakter des Sajous. Aber ich mag den Fasseinfluss sehr. Mild, süffig, angenehme Süße, Fruchtigkeit und das zu einem sehr fairen Preis.

Interessanter Clairin. Das Bielle Fass kommt gut durch, jedoch wird dadurch vielleicht zu sehr die typische Clairin-Note überdeckt!

As good as the most recent and revered (and with more aging) releases. Cask influence is subtile, it never overcomes the rum character, nonetheless it is clearly noticeable

Hard to find, I wanted this bottle exactly because I was already disappointed by Velier's Haitian. A pastry nose with sugar cane and funky (ex Jamaican rum barrel?). On the palate we find the funky with woody, banana and rum grapes which still reminds us of Jamaica.Very disappointing and volatile at the opening, it has mellowed and complexified with oxidation and time.A very good idea the aging in rum cask. Better than younger Sajous and more interesting than an older clairin.
