Superb nose of wood and vanilla. Vegetal freshness, leather, the whole seems very soft. Light, suave entry on the palate. The wood quickly takes over before the rum takes full possession of the palate. Pepper, leather, sweet fruit, it's superb. Just the right spiciness. Warm, woody finish. Leather and tobacco rounded out by a lovely brown sugar. Magnificent!

Wahnsinnig toller Agricole. Hat sehr große Parallelen zu High End Bourbons. Meine Referenz aus Martinique!

A long sought sample! I am curious...Very oily, thick streaks. In the nose honey, the Neisson typical cookies, citrus give freshness. Very nice sticky notes. Various spices. Complex and layered. In the mouth it feels a bit thin at first, then a potpourri of citrus hits. In the finish then ultra-beautiful, but this could be a bit longer.Hammeragricole! Very complex and fine, easy to drink. Strong parallels to the 9 year old. No idea why this is still available. The 2004 Vintage scores with dried fruit, the 2005 more with the freshness of citrus. Both ultra-good.

Grasig, weich, Neisson-typisch durch die 51%. Hintenraus aber dennoch ein komplexes Meisterwerk. Ein großer klassischer Agricole.

Only one word to describe this neisson: Outstanding! Fruit, spice, citrus and wood all perfectly blended! Throughout the tasting it has superb balance! You can't ask for anything better!

For me, Neisson rums are the most elegant of their kind. This Agricole is majestic and noble. When I taste it, I feel like I'm wearing a wig and a Renaissance suit =D The nose is outstanding! The palate is also world class! Second tasting +2 points (Agricole rocks!)

Surely one of my favorite Neissons, it has everything I love about this distillery. And surprisingly, it's still available at market price...

Excellent Neisson with a dry nose and a beautifully balanced mouth with round notes.

9,2:On the nose, sugarcane juice, slightly flowery, citrus and dried fruits, roasted wood notes, smoky, with leather caramel, spices with cinnamon, nutmeg, dairy, creamy, yet complex, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, confectionery with crunchy bread, nutty pastry and biscuitsarise vegetal molasses with pickles, grass, peaches, apricots and banana from fruits, cumin and vanilla from spices, very round. 9,1:On the palate, the attack is delicious with sugarcane juice, grassy and flowery, a bit mineral, later fresh with tea, fruits like citrus, yellow and dried, sweet roasted wood notes with leather, chocolate, caramelized pastry, spicy with vanilla, clove and pepper, a very complex, yet balanced rhum. 8,9:The finish is long, dry, complex with similar notes as on the palate, this time with metallic patina. Edit:4.1.2026

Very pretty agricole, on the nose spices, rather lively, candied orange, a mixture of varnish and glue, sugar cane has evolved into a brown sugar caramel, dried fruit cake. The palate follows the same logic: complex, balanced and accessible. I'd even go so far as to say it's easy to drink. Pancakes topped with bourbon vanilla pastry chocolate, cane that remains surprisingly fresh, cake spices, a lovely noble woodiness like Neisson's secret. A warm, enveloping finish with a lovely bitterness. Very dark chocolate, walnut kernels, those same spices, perhaps even a steaming cappuccino base. Excellent - 90/100

Agricoles and I have a difficult relationship and I'm more at home with molasses rums. But then there are pieces like this one ... Enchanting nose to fall in love with: Old bourbon with candied fruit, nuts, juicy carrot cake with honey and a slightly herbal note. Dry on the palate and without many of the characteristics that often bother me about agricoles. But the nose does it for me here.

RX787 vs. RX6418. Phew, a very close contest between two classics! RX787 is ahead on the nose, it seems more present and older, gnarlier. On the palate, after a long time, the RX6418 pushes itself further and further to the fore. It is sweet and elegant, somehow supple. The RX787, on the other hand, has more wood and power and is somewhat rougher than the RX6418. But it's mercilessly well made! Nevertheless, I find the RX6418 a tick better, more pleasing. Maybe Luca would have preferred to choose the one for Velier's 70th birthday? 😉

A Neisson that rhymes with elegance. The nose is greedy on sugar cane, caramel and cookie, fine on a melted woodiness that tends towards tobacco and chocolate, subtle on dried and exotic fruits, slightly fresh on vegetables, but above all abundant on spices and nuts. A complete and complex profile. The profile on the palate is intense, dry and complex. More vegetal and agricultural than on the nose, the scents of grass and sugarcane are slightly bitter. The woodiness is present, but it's the spices that offer the most on the palate: cinnamon, chili pepper, black pepper, ginger, aniseed and vanilla bring vivacity and complexity to this very versatile profile. Citrus fruits add a touch of freshness in the background. Alcohol is well integrated. The finish is long and dry, but round. Spices, nuts, chocolate and coffee bring a sweetness that counterbalances the agricultural, green, bitter and vegetal side for a subtle, delicate balance. A Neisson with a greener, drier profile than the 2007 vintage, but a very high level of versatility, intensity and depth.
