TCRL Diamond Guyana (LMDW) 2003
Opinions land here, and the middle of the pack is where it lands. Several tasters find the 60.4% heavy and hot — one notes it stays boozy even with water, and the finish falls a bit flat. Others get a milder, syrupy nose with fruit, wood and a wisp of smoke that carries into a spicy, vanilla-and-cocoa palate. A decent Diamond, not a memorable one.

How does TCRL Diamond Guyana (LMDW) 2003 taste?
Aggregated from 20 community reviews.
Solid but heavy cask-strength Guyana Most land it as good-but-not-special: the cask-strength heat weighs it down for some, and a few feel the flat finish holds back an otherwise solid Guyana.

I thought I recognized Port Mourant. Fruit, wood and discreetly smoky. But due to the spührbaren alcohol relatively heavy. Even with water, the alcohol and its heaviness remains very present. Not my rum, it comes relatively little fun while drinking.

To be honest, I would have rated this rum much higher, but it can't do much. The young age may make you feel like you're being taken for a ride, but don't fall for it, it needs to be stored for longer. That's just the way it is :-)

smells better than tastes. the taste is more pungent and the finish is bland
Review by Andi
Very mild and pleasantly sweet on the nose, slightly syrupy. This is paired with fruit, some wood and a slight hint of smoke. On the palate very pleasantly fruity, spicy, vanilla, plus wood and again very slightly smoky.
