17.02.2019 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Light in colour. Nose Faint wood, light roasted, glue, light cherry, faint tar, light earthy, pineapple, berries. Palate Round, naturally sweet, faint wood, tea, faint tar, cherry, light earthy, faint smoke, light pineapple. Finish Medium long, fresh, faint wood, berries, faint caramel, light tea, fruits.

Not good at all! The worst clairin I have tasted. The alcohol is really badly integrated and the Caroni cask did not mark the juice.

On the nose there is a certain sourness, a bit of glue and rubber (Caroni oblige) and a hint of citrus. The whole is quite round and not unpleasant. The palate starts with rubber then you find the sourness from the nose (cider vinegar, cider brandy). You feel slightly pastry-like markers in the background. The finish is average on caramelized apple. You can tell the Caroni cask has marked the Clairin well. A rum not unpleasant but not very appealing either.

Spicy / peppery. Fig, kiwi, galia melon and vanilla. Not that fruity for a Clairin though. The short maturation maybe doesn't make that much sense to me, rather longer or otherwise not at all I'd say.
