Comparative series of Clairins ansyens. Clearer on the nose than the Sajous (54.2% 21 months), but much less attractive on the palate. Very aromatic on the first nose, with very light volatility and dried fruit. Slightly spicy and acidic on the palate before the fruit shows through. Alcohol fairly well integrated. Medium-long finish with candied fruit. Thank you Dr Django for the sample.

#7144 09.08.2026 Just got a box with lots of Haiti rums and I just love the benchmark as they're usually always really good. Listening to some nice Psy Trance on Spotify. Pretty nice Clairin with a good price tag in my mind. Fruity profile with caramel, wood, spice, sugarcane, grass, salt and light licorice.

Clairin Cosstasting Vol. 2 with Sajous 22 months (RX7920) Vaval 22 months (RX7929) The Sajous DNA is still clearly present on the nose. Citrus, vegetal grassy and slightly metallic. The aging doesn't seem noticeable from my memory at all. I find it quite one-dimensional. On the palate again the Sajous-typical citrus aromas, here the aging is noticeable. A subtle sweetness and a slight bitterness. Unfortunately, I don't find the alcohol optimally integrated. The Vaval is clearly better! I even find the unaged Sajous better there.
