RumX Advent Calendar, day 16. A beautiful nose with all kinds of fruit, a fresh, vegetal side. Perfectly integrated wood. The palate is superb, with all the fruit of the nose. All the fruit is also present on the elegant finish, with a lovely acidity at the very end.

The 16th door in the RumX Advent calendar 2024 unfortunately didn't really grab me again. I still have many gaps in this category of rum. As always, nice to have tried it and expanded my horizon a bit. Overall good, maybe a bit thin, but just not my world.

Post-tasting RumX Advent Calendar 2024, number 16 Nose and palate clearly Agricole. Not too vegetal, I guess Martinique, alcohol around 50%. Beyond that... no idea 😂 Nice rich and sweet vanilla notes and glue.

Day 16 of the RumX advent calendar: Due to dilution there is a somewhat thin mouthfeel and the flavor profile is rather finely painted than slammed with force, but the lovely light fruit notes combined with mild herbs and spices create together with the fine cask contribution an elegant and coherent overall picture. A tasty agricole!

Freshly poured I thought I had a Spanish style rum in front of me. But over time more and more vegetal notes come through. The alcohol is well integrated. Nice rum, initially inconspicuous but then complex and demanding. With the low alcohol content, easy to approach.

RX calendar 24: the TR surprises positively, very nice nose with apple, wood (sandalwood?), cinnamon. On the palate nutmeg, cask, tannins / astringent on the finish. Unfortunately a bit thin or watery on the palate. But overall I really like it.

RumX calendar 2024 Day 16: Roasted notes, leather, plus wood & herbs. Plus a strange sweetness I can't place. In the mouth more herbs come in, creamy mouthfeel with slight bitterness towards the end. After some time it becomes grassy, could be pretty much anything :D but somehow it's not really my thing...

RumX Advent calendar 2024 Day 16. Here we have a nice Agricole from Trois Rivieres. On the nose, wood dominates for me, with some fruit coming through over time. On the palate also mostly wood, but alongside the fruitiness there is a certain spiciness.

Another agricole from Martinique, this time more wood driven and with for sure not so young (XO at least), despite the abv seems low. I don't like this profile so much, there is little to be find after the woody and roasted notes.

RumX Advent calendar 2024: No. 16 First impression: dark color and intense nose. Very oily in the glass. On the nose, dried fruits and spices dominate. Pleasant mild finish with a slight sweetness. Could be from Guyana.

Doesn't really grab me. Basically a solid and tasty Trois Rivières but overall somewhat thin, watered down and one-dimensional. Could definitely handle a few more percent...

Day 16 in the RumX Advent calendar. On the nose, nice yellow fruits and light wood. On the palate then mirabelle, maybe some peach, light wood and vegetal notes, plus light floral notes. I'd estimate the alcohol around 52%, it's well integrated. The finish is rather short and fades with bright yellow fruits. I guess it's a matured Agricole, distillery-wise I'd say St. James.

Very fruity profile. The nose is charming. The palate is pleasant but unfortunately too diluted. The finish is rather short. You can easily recognize the Martinique profile but it may be less spicy than what you might expect for a Trois Rivières.

RumX Advent calendar 2024 door no. 16. On the nose excellently refreshingly fruity, like a fruit salad! On the palate nicely complemented with strong barrel and caramel notes, almost cola-like, plus some tea. The finish leaves the herbal notes.

Day 16 RumX Advent calendar Great Agricole in the glass today. Incredibly beautiful fruitiness. Yellow fruits like orange and apricot, all in a candied dress including baking spices like vanilla and tonka bean. In the finish, the Agricole becomes much more present. For me, a top easy sipper that I would love to have at home.

Blind tasting Advent calendar 2024: the nose probably caramelized cloves. With grassy tones. On the palate quite grassy though. However, with a slight sweetness towards the end. The guy is relatively drinkable.

Agricole. Fruity floral on the nose. Very thin on the palate. Also floral and fruity notes here. But also a somewhat numbing feeling on the tongue. Menthol or something like Szechuan pepper. Turns quite bitter towards the end.

At first lots of caramel and fruit. But then more and more agricole notes. Grass, citrus fruits and wood. But also a certain sharpness. On the palate again agricole notes with more wood. A bit thin. Does not stay long on the palate. Definitely an agricole. I guess Martinique. Would say J.M. 40-45% 4-8 years. Nose is very nice. On the palate a bit weak. That costs points.
