Sip this one neat — at 40% it's soft enough that nobody reports any burn. Nine years in oak gives you vanilla, oak and a peppery, spicy edge, plus a nutty side one taster pinned as Nutella, tonka bean and pecan. It reads sweet and a little heavy for an agricole, more dessert than grassy. The long, spicy finish is the part people keep coming back to.

A favorite unquestionably! It’s a complete explosion of flavors in mouth and it hangs on during the long finish. The nose is fruity and spicy with aromas of vanilla. At the palate it’s intense, complex, woody, spicy, peppery and sweet with flavors of licorice, vanilla and sugarcane.

Nice dessert rum, with lots of natural sweetness, a certain heaviness and spiciness, and fantastically integrated alcohol. Complexity is limited though, so no "very good" rating.

A perfect balance between power, aroma, and sugar. Vanilla, caramelized cocoa, flambéed banana in the various aromas distilled over time. You're between two worlds (Rhum Agricole and solera rum), powerful without being aggressive, the aromas are present without the often cloying excess sugar. A wonderful experience, subtle and sensual finish.
