6,5:On the nose, citrus aromas (orange and lemon) dominate. It also has a vegetal, even medicinal/herbal aspect. Slight notes of spice-ginger, vanilla are also present, some woodiness . 6:On the palate, it's sweet and the orange carries off - almost - everything in its path. A slight acidity and bitterness make you think of zest. The timid spicy:ginger, vanilla, woody notes are still there.Underneath there is a very weak torrent of tropical fruits, rarely traceable. After few more sipps this rum becomes more and more bitter orange. 6:The finish is short and citrusy.

Honey and a little wood, some cognac. Pours clear copper golden. Leaves with some perfume, potpourri. Something like plum even. Cognac. Bottle from Duty Free basement of Canadian embassy in DC. Score.

Natürlich pur verkostet. Ganz klar: sehr fruchtig mit starken Noten von Orange, leicht herb, dazu ganz leichte Vanillenote und ein wenig Holz. Meine Abfüllung ist nicht besonders süß wie teilweise beschrieben. Weich und sehr komplex. Für diese Qualität immer noch gut bezahlbar. Gefällt mir sehr gut!

Eigenartig. Wirkt irgendwie künstlich-likörartig, gleichzeitig wirken aber auch typische Rum-Eigenschaften. Ich bin mir noch nicht sicher, was ich davon halten soll, würde ihn aber Einsteigern empfehlen, die eher auf künstliche Zitrusaromen stehen. Handwerklich ist der nix.

Edit: finally pack 😄 I've had this rum in the cupboard for a while and dug it out of the last corner. But it is and remains mediocre and not suitable for drinking neat in my opinion. Also tried as a mixer with cola as a fresh drink for warm evenings. No, unfortunately not. But it's perfect for spicing up cheesecake or a tiramisu. For me, it is and remains purely a baking ingredient. Unfortunately, that's all it's good for.
