So Tag 2 vom RumX Adventskalender Was für eine krasse Nummer. Je länger dieser im Glas war, desto öfters musste ich umdenken. Kurz vor Schluss zumindest auf der richtigen Spur gewesen. Ob Guatemala, Panama oder halt jetzt doch Kolumbien, die Richtung hat gestimmt. Schön wieder probiert zu haben, aber meinen Geschmack hat es leider nicht getroffen.

RumX Advent Calendar, Day 2. Very ripe fruit on the nose, banana and pineapple, a pastry, caramel side and well-integrated wood. The palate is easy and soft, but the aromas are there. The pastry and caramel character of the nose becomes very present here, which reminds me of Foursquare, but a very simplified Foursquare. The finish is moderately long, with the aromas fading together. A very drinkable rum, even a good one, which makes you want to have a refill immediately. But certainly not a very complex rum.

Rum-X Kalender 2024 Tag 2 Schöne wohlgefällige Nase, allem voran Bourbon, Trockenfrüchte und Toffee. Am Gaumen eher dünn aber übereinstimmend mit dem Eindruck von der Nase. Leichte Röstaromen und Vannille kommen dazu. Im kurzen Nachklang können mehr Röstnoten dazu, insgesamt sehr einladend, gefällig und rund. Sehr schöner Einsteigerrum, mein Tipp: höchstwahrscheinlich Foursquare mit ca. 40% Alkohol und ca. 10 Jahren Fassreifung im Bourbonfass.

A clear upgrade to the normal hechicera thanks to the moscatel finish! Very complex and fruity-nutty. The moscatel wine barrel really comes into its own here, I find it very, very tasty and successful. Especially unsweetened!

7,4:On the nose there are caramel, honey, vanilla, tropical fruits and subtle oak in the background, which is a bit toasted, with some dried fruits. You can feel it is gonna be a bit dry. 8:On the palate, it is creamy and buttery with hints of vanilla, pineapple and ripe banana. As it reaches the mid-palate, notes of dark sugar, white pepper and cinnamon appear, dried fruits and drieness, astringency, wine like. In the background subtle toasted oak and spices keep things dry against a persistent background of pineapples and ripe bananas. 7,8:The finish is brings us dried fruits, drieness, sweet wine notes and is medium with pleasant warmth of pepper and cinnamon...

The best thing about the bottle is its presentation, very nicely designed and lots of information. I also like the nose very much, the muscatel barrel comes into its own, fruit, young wood and baking spices. Unfortunately, the taste disappoints me, the few percentages are poorly integrated, it is sharp, thin and unbalanced.

Rum X Adventskalender 2024, Tag 2 Nase: Nach dem Einschenken erstmal verschlossen und eher alkoholisch mit etwas Gewürz. Es kommen dann Trockenfrüchte (Feige) und etwas Schokolade, Nuss und Demerarazucker dazu. Ebenso nach und nach eine ganz milde Fruchtigkeit mit ein paar Estern. Etwas Wein auch dabei. Gaumen: Im Antrunk etwas dünn, würzig mit Tanninen sowie den besagten Trockenfrüchten und den oben beschriebenen Aromen. Insgesamt eher nix, das man unbedingt probiert haben muss.

RumX Adventskalender Tag 2 In der Nase denke ich eher an Barbados oder Belize Schokolade, Kaffee ,Kokosnuss und Holzige Notes . Leicht Pfeffrig in der Nase . Am Gaumen ähnliches Spiel Dunkle Schokolade, Kokosnuss und Pfeffrig . Alkohol in der Nase gut am Gaumen nicht ganz so gut eingebunden. Fruchtigkeit gibts im Prinzip garnicht. Ist jetzt nicht so wirklich mein Fall 😅

Adventskalender Tag 2: An der Nase fruchtige Noten (Orange) und Honigsüße, Karamell. Am Gaumen etwas scharfkantig. Interessant, den mal probiert zu haben, aber mein Favorit aus dem Kalender wird er jetzt nicht.

Tagesausflug Baltrum September 2024. Kneipe Sturm-Eck. Jetzt ein La Hechicera. Leicht süsslichliche Nase welche aus Karamell und Honig besteht. Am Gaumen dann Vanille, Toffee und Honig. Leicht süßlich, aber noch im Rahmen. Ganz ok.

RumX Adventskalender 2024: Nr. 2 Ein insgesamt sehr weicher und runder Rum, der wahrscheinlich keinen hohen ABV hat. Sehr vanillig mit leicht holzigen Einflüsse. Abgang könnte etwas länger sein. Schwer hier eine bestimmtes Land zu finden.

Im Glas ein schöner Fabton. In der Nase etwas Frucht und eine runde Würze, bilde mir auch etwas Holz ein. Im Mund dann zuerst federleicht gefolgt von einer schönen Würze und einem leichten Abgang. Süffig aber nicht außergewöhnlich.

RumX Kalender 2024 Day 2: Nase zuerst Röstnoten, leichte Minze und Dreckigkeit. Aber nicht allzu intensiv. Evtl. ein alter TDL? Am Gaumen dominieren überraschend rote Früchte, Karamell, Milchschokolade. recht süß. Die Eindrücke aus der Nase finde ich nicht wieder. Kurzes Finish und insgesamt recht schwach auf der Brust. Aber recht süffig insgesamt, gut für Einsteiger. Vielleicht doch eher irgendwas aus Panama?

RumXmas 2024, day 2: Forgot the blind tasting option today, but here are the notes. Barbados could be right. Alcohol well integrated, not too powerfull. Boringly good, I’m going for Foursquare :joy: so why not: Doorly’s 14 years, RX313 Agreed that the coconut ist present… perhaps something Spanish style? I would be surprised if the ABV would hit 50%. A lower ABV Belize or Guatemala? Panama has more tobacco in the profile n my memory Very accessible, inviting to take another sip. Short finish with a dominating sweet note.
