Red fruit and cherry lead here, wrapped around fresh cane, chocolate, tobacco and a fine oak backbone. This is HSE's agricole given a Bordeaux (Marquis de Terme) wine finish, and it shows: overripe red fruits, dark raisins, leather, a little espresso and licorice. Round and gourmand at 48%, with a long, drying, slightly tannic close. A few tasters find it just a touch too smooth.

A very nice and fruity release. Well balanced, round and mild in the finish. I really like that you can pick up the cane and caramel in the profile. The empty glass is really nice after a few hours.

A very successful finish from HSE, which perfectly combines the influence of wine and red fruits on the profile. On the nose we find sweet spices, sugar cane, caramel and toffee for sweet flavors, tropical fruits, chocolate, leather, very elegant oak and toasted notes. The palate finds the same sensations with tannins, licorice, espresso and lemon zest in addition. It is complex, elegant, smooth and very pleasant to drink. The finish is very long, drying with tannins, slightly bitter but very tasty. A very nice release from HSE at a ridiculously low price.

Finally I get to try a mature and fully fledged HSE. The grand cru Bordeaux wine finish creates a taste of overripe red fruits that is delicious. There is leather on the palate as well. Blackcurrant and dark raisins. Long satisfying finish. Round as hell. Reminiscent of how a master chef can transform basic ingredients into a gourmand meal, you would be forgiven for forgetting that this comes from sugarcane with all the complexity of flavor. Very good indeed.

Au nez difficile de sortir beaucoup de notes on sent une grande complexité. Ce nez est donc sur les fruits rouges et le kirsch sur un fond boisé fin. En bouche on attaque sur les fruits rouges toujours avec la cerise en tête puis en seconde bouche, les épices, le chocolat et la gourmandise prennent le dessus. Finale longue sur les épices et le bois principalement. Un rhum magnifique.

👃 le finish en marquis de terme se fait sentir. Notes fruitées de raisin, le 🍫 est également de la partie ainsi que le tabac et une légère note poivrée. 👄 le raisin est moins présent mais montre quand même le bout de son nez. Le chocolat et le tabac se font la part belle. Finale dans la très bonne moyenne. Peut-être mon HSE préféré dans la gamme des finish du monde. C'est également dû à sa belle puissance (47°) qui contrebalance bien sa gourmandise.
