People are split, and the split is basically "do you love licorice?" This is a thick, syrupy black licorice liqueur at 18% — dominant licorice, salt, molasses, with hints of coffee and chocolate. Licorice devotees call it delicious and creamy; everyone else finds it too sweet and syrupy, with almost no alcohol bite. One member even bakes with it.

Feels more like syrup than like liqueur, at least I've rarely experienced such a viscous liqueur. Personally I'm absolutely no licorice fan, but if you like it you can grab this without worries... But 100-200g less sugar per liter would have done it too😆 PS: now I can finally tick off the color black at rumX, yay😆😆

Licorice meets chocolate liqueur with a bit of coffee aroma and sugar. Definitely something different. If you like licorice, this is definitely a recommendable liqueur. It doesn't suit my taste.

Now there's finally an entry for this bottle. No idea why it's on the shelf. It's definitely not rum/spiced rum even though it got an RX number. But to the point. Black color. The name says it all. Liquefied licorice, salty licorice. Extremely viscous, you really need a special pourer that acts as a partial closure. What can be said about the taste... Anyone who always has a bag of black salty licorice drops in their pocket and has no problem with their blood sugar levels might love this liquid. Others will hate it and never touch it again after the first tasting. This is also shown by the widest rating range I've seen so far (1-9). I do like licorice, but prefer the solid variety.

Actually not a rum, but as far as I know vodka-based, but from Riise and I like licorice! That was actually the reason for this purchase. But it's really not my taste and will therefore gather dust in the cabinet...

Syrupy, dark liquid. Licorice is very dominant, salt, molasses. Tastes pretty awful.

Licorice liqueur (almost syrup) based on rum with 18%. I really like licorice but this version lacks alcohol and bite. Conclusion: I'd rather chew a licorice stick.
