Fans call it a spice bomb — cinnamon, clove and orange like a knocked-over mulled-wine stall — while others say the base rum vanishes and it reads artificial or "simply tastes of whiskey." Very much a Christmas-and-winter pour. Great in a Cuba Libre or with vermouth; a lot of tasters find it too intense to drink neat.

'Spiced' hits it perfectly. Smells like an accident at the mulled wine stand - all the vats with rum punch bottles tipped over. Awesome! Straight up it's a bit too much for me. You don't notice the base rum anymore, just all the spices. Would probably work fantastically with vermouth - but whoever drinks it straight is also the last one still standing at the Christmas market, emptying the kettle.

Oh well, I was really looking forward to this rum based on the reviews. But unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. It tastes too much like Christmas and orange for me. Unfortunately worse than expected.

Similar to Don Papa, for example, this spiced rum only tastes like artificial flavorings, not a bit like rum. I can't drink it neat. I mixed a tiny cable car with the rest of the sample, also disgusting.

For me, an interesting rum, but only for Christmas and winter time. Very intense spice aromas, which are infused in this rum for 14 hours.
