Rather heavy but pleasant nose Not aggressive on the palate despite 42 degrees

On the nose it's sweet with wet straw. It is smooth, actually very smooth for its age, which is due to the 19g/l of sugar which the producer claims was put into it. That makes it quite sweet, with ample honey and a touch of butterscotch coming through. In the end you get spiciness and some burn. Aftertaste is sweet / honey again. At first sip I liked it because it opens up with spiciness, followed by butterscotch sweetness, but after several sips it just gets too cloy. It's a good entry rum for someone coming from dark rums with sweet caramel taste to try more light and open aromas, but the sweetness dominates too much and I had hard time finishing a glass, let alone the entire bottle. 30EUR

No distinct aroma. Maybe a little apple flavor. Initially a strong burn, but after it rested, it mellowed. Mixed was just okay
