Für mich in Summe ein signifikant unterschätzter Rum. Tolles Profil ähnlich den 2001ern, mit Plastik, Honig und Gewürzen. Das NY-Fass verleiht zusätzlich eine Fruchtigkeit, die dem Rum gut zu Gesicht steht. Einzig der nicht optimal eingebundene Alkohol und der etwas kurze Abgang verhindern eine noch höhere Bewertung. Zum Ausgabepreis (54,90 €) ein absoluter Preis-Leistungs-Kracher.

Meiner Meinung nach ein unterschätzte Vertreter aus Fiji. Das Finisch im New Yarmouth Fass passt ausgezeichnet zum Fiji Profil. Insgesamt ein wenig scharfkantig aber auch mit viel Frucht und einer verblüffenden Trockenheit und leicht salzig. Hervorragendes P/L Verhältnis!

Edit: Heute nochmal als CubaLibre probiert. Sehr feiner Mixer. Eignet sich m.E. sehr gut. Ein völlig unterbewerteter Rum m.E. nach oben korrigiert Als New Yarmouth Nerd, kann ich das Profil gut erkennen. Das Finish gewagt, außerhalb der Komfortzone, aber leider geil. Und für knapp über 50€ topp Preis Leistung

Very delicious rum! Full load of esters and fruits with a cool fresh note! The alcohol is integrated well. The finish is long, dry, estery, fruity just delicious! The finishing has a high impact on this one! A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!

Hezká vůně, takové "technické" Fiji. Co si vybavuju, tak s touto vůní se pojí dobrý kousek. Chuťově docela ostřejší, ale rozhodně osobité a silné Fiji. Další ochutnání už přívětivější. Cítím tam technické tóny s medem, což mi připomíná rumy od Mhoby nebo možná z Ghany. NY finiš tam vůbec necítím.

Einerseits finde ich in der Nase die typischen Fijinoten von Gummi, verrottendem Gemüse anderseits eine schöne, sehr reife Frucht. Am Gaumen kommt die Frucht deutlicher heraus, reife Ananas, Mirabelle mit einer Spur künstliche Klebrigkeit. Die pflanzlichen Noten bleiben im Hintergrund präsent. Im trockenen Abgang kommen sie wieder etwas deutlicher zur Geltung. Den Einfluss des Finishs kann ich nur schwer abschätzen - vermutlich ist er an der starken Frucht nicht unbeteiligt.

Sehr schöne Jamaika-Nase Im Geschmack dann solides Ester-Mischmasch zwischen Fiji und Jamaika mit einer interessanten metallischen Note hinter all dem Anderen. Wird nicht langweilig und das auch noch für ein tolles PLV.

Compared to 01 this one is more gentle, fruity and sweet, with richer moutfeel. Less complex though, but i like the tropical fruit aftertaste. Thanks Artur for sharing this sample.

Man merkt das Finish im New Yarmouth Fass schon deutlich und das überlagert sicherlich einiges. Aber ich mag NY, deshalb ist das schon ok. Vor allem für den damaligen Preis. Ansonsten etwas mineralisch, leichte Apfelnote. Das beste ist aber sicherlich der lange fruchtige Abgang.

Frisch und fruchtig kommt er in der Nase rüber mit einem ordentlichen Schlag Lösungsmittel. Tropische Frucht Richtung Papaya, dazu Aprikose, Mandarine und Limette. Hinten eine buttrige Karamell-Sahnebonbon-Süße. Am Gaumen ist er fruchtig aber sogleich salzig mit einer leichten Speck-Note. Er wirkt metallisch-frisch. Ich finde Bergamotte und Sauerkirsche, aber auch künstliches, wie Jod. Hinten kommt die Würze durch Sternanis und Muskat. Er hat auch was grünes, Safran-Ähnliches. Hier passt das NY-Fass wirklich gut zum Fiji. Sehr gut gelungen!

Ein super Rum zum EM Spiel Deutschland Ungarn 😂 Schön fruchtig, bisschen Würze, super eingebundener Alkohol, …super Rum. Nicht furchtbar komplex, aber perfekt für Daily Sippen oder mehr. Macht wirklich Spaß

Profil fort en esters, fruits mûrs et notes minérales. En bouche, ces mêmes notes sont encore présentes et agréable. Un peu trop sage pour moi vu le profil initial. C'est bon, l'alcool est bien intégré mais j'aurais préféré un truc plus intense. Édit : impression confirmée. C'est quand même très bon. Mais j'aurais aimé plus encore. Sa fraîcheur est très appréciable.
