Don't let the "blanc" fool you — this unaged Martinique agricole is a big, spicy pour. Freshly cut sugarcane, lime and a green vegetal edge lead, then a peppery, licorice-tinged warmth kicks in. A few tasters caught mirabelle and a touch of vanilla-nutmeg. At 52% it needs a moment to open, and one reviewer noted a damp-wood note taking over. Enjoyable as an aperitif or digestif.

Normally I don't drink a lot of rhum blanc but I do really like those from La Favorite. They have a tendency to have a general high quality. This one had to rest as well before it really let go of its potential. True Agricole flavours with grass, super fresh and lightly fruity with spice, cane and licorice topped off with a peppery edge. Long warm and spicy finish, i like it a lot actually. Price to quality is super good. Looking forward to the 2019 and 2020 in the next tasting meetup.

Un très beau nez plein de fraîcheur, axé sur la canne fraîchement cueillie et sucrée. En bouche, c’est bon, intense, l’alcool est bien intégré. On trouve des notes poivrées, terreuses, un peu d’agrume mais c’est surtout le bois humide qui prend le dessus. La finale est agréable, moyenne et toujours axée sur le bois humide. En conclusion c’est un blanc agréable à boire
