Thanks to Johannes it was possible to do this little Birds Flight. In the race were 2x OWH, 5x LFCH (including the HV LFCH mixed) and 2x LROK. As a conclusion from my side, from LROK they are more fun, the low ester faction is okay. In my opinion, the Birds are not worth the money, rather a collector's item. I can't really recognize big differences.

... Hampden, the legendary Jamaican distillery that besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery, you can smell wild esters, after which your whole body soaks up the scent of yellow tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die".

27.03.2021 A nice Velier tasting thanks to my friend Cheng from Singapore. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, balanced, light wood, faint smoke, fruity, light chocolate, faint floral, light orange, ester. Palate Oily, warm, light wood, balanced, fruity, ester, orange, light chocolate, faint floral. Finish Medium to long, balanced, wood, fruity, light berries, faint chocolate, spice.

Wowowowowow. Tried this at Three Dots in Chicago and really, really loved it. Hard to give it a full tasting without the influence of the atmosphere but wow I would love to have a bottle of this.
