Chairman‘s Reserve Master's Selection (The Netherlands) 2009
Most tasters land on "good, not great" here — a Saint Lucia single cask with a lovely glue-and-dried-fruit nose that a few call surprising, but several note the palate feels thin for 46% and a touch chemical. Expect dried apricot, prune, toffee, leather and oak spice. One reviewer sums it as a mix between Barbados and Jamaica.
- Glue-dried fruit nose
- Spice and leather
- Tropical maturation

How does Chairman‘s Reserve Master's Selection (The Netherlands) 2009 taste?
Aggregated from 31 community reviews.
Glue-nosed Saint Lucia, thin on the palate Well-liked as an affordable tropically-aged Saint Lucia with a great varnish-and-dried-fruit nose. The catch: the palate reads a bit diluted and less harmonious than other Chairman's releases.

Wow, this one surprised me personally! Nice sticky note that goes in the direction of tropical aged Diamond. Despite the 46%, it didn't seem very diluted! If it had been aged even longer and had more percentages...

Interesting chairmans and a reasonably relaxed sipper. Overall, however, not really harmonious, alcohol could be better integrated and overall somewhat chemical effect. There's better from chairmans.but one of the few 100% Coffey stills and thus quite exciting!

45€ for an 11 years tropically matured Saint-Lucia, that's exactly the kind of bottle that should fly off the shelves. December 2022 edit Bottle almost empty now!! Ok you can feel the reduction (especially after a cask strength JM) but you got to give it justice as one of the best BFYB recently! I should have buy dozen of it at this price.

Beautiful notes of both dried and fresher tropical fruits. Good sweetness, slight bitterness from tea and cask, classic spice aromas. Very successful in itself, but seems a little too thin.

Super nice nose, glue with dried apricot and prune, a little weaker on the palate, lots of spices, licorice, some fruit , you can taste the dilution, but not unpleasant. Good value for money.

The nose is really interesting with some hints of glue. The taste is nice and not too strong. The finish is rather flat for me. All in all a good rum considering the price. Not the best chairman's reserve, I appreciate the 1931 much more

Chairmans WC Tasting Spices, lots of. Reminds me of spanish style with leather and a little tobacco. Later there is more fruit. This one has more cereal than the 2005 but is a bit mor shallow and less intense. This is not bad and i am sure people who prefer that one
