Travellers Plantation Single Cask (The Netherlands) 2009
A solid stepping stone rum with gentle 44.1% ABV and a cherry wood twist. Expect light wood, caramel, vanilla, cherry and chocolate notes with mild sweetness. RumX members see it as an interesting, easy-going sipper rather than a powerhouse.

How does Travellers Plantation Single Cask (The Netherlands) 2009 taste?
Aggregated from 28 community reviews.
Soft Belize rum with cherry twist Reliable, softly fruity and lightly woody Belize-style rum where the cherry wood finish adds quirky notes. Well-liked as an easy sipper, though some find it watery and a bit indistinct.
Those building their palate who enjoy softer, slightly sweet rums with hints of cherry, chocolate and light oak rather than high-ester funk or cask-strength power.
Anyone avoiding added sugar, seeking intense high-ABV rums, or wanting very clear, defined flavors and long finishes.

This is a strange one, it has the same body as the other Plantation Belize Rums, but something wild added to it, that seems to jump around the place. If that is the cherry wood influence, it is interesting, not sure if it improves the rum much, though. Second tasting: got some cherry and chocolate notes, but then taste still puzzles me, nothing that I can really identify, it is a bit short in clear notes, even fruity notes are a bit faint, with the exception of some bitter orange Marmelade.
