7,8:On the nose, roasted wood notes like chocolate, burnt sugar, leather, spicy with baking spices, orange peel and dried fruits, some tobacco, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, it becomes slightly alcoholic, caramel and pastry are out, dried apricots and raisins distinctively. 7,5:On the palate, the attack is slightly alcoholic, the wood roasted with caramelized burnt sugar, cocoa, some leather, syrupy, fruity with dried fruits like raisins, later prunes, some plums and orange peel, the molasses is thick, medicinal notes are out, when the rum is well rested. 7,6:The finish is more round, balanced, dry and tannic, with roasted oak, spicy, pairing dried, citrus fruits, still thick molasses with black tea..

It had been a long time since I last dived into a 40% rum: on the nose you immediately smell caramel. And there is no doubt on the palate, it is omnipresent. It is round, soft. It drinks like milk. Ok, it is sweetened with a bit of sugar, which is why it is so smooth and easy to drink. Clearly, it's hard for a rum to express itself after a Caroni! No contest...
