Well, it offers solid aromas of vanilla and wood but overall remains unsurprising. Slight alcoholic sharpness. The price is really good, of course. But it lacks depth and complexity. Overall average.

Extremely round and harmonious, easy to drink thanks to 19 g/L sugar. But also the blend itself from column and pot still, from sugarcane juice and molasses from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Panama, and Barbados is just really well balanced. If you want to get someone excited about rum: feed them Barril. I was able to snag the small “bottle” directly from Martin Birk Jensen at the SugarCane Days 2023 in Hamburg.
