Very fine and successful with the right sharpness. Butterscotch with some fruit and vanilla notes that play finely on the palate. With a long sweet finish and delicious butterscotch reminiscent of Werther's Original.

6,2:The first nose reveals a hint of heavy rum (overripe banana), but this remains fairly stealthy, as vanilla and orange quickly assert themselves, enhanced by a large pinch of cinnamon. The cinnamon's powdery aspect really comes to the fore, all the more so as pepper and nutmeg come to the fore. The sugar is very present, giving us a kind of spicy candy.We return to the orange zest when we shake the rum. This gives a slightly drier impression that tries to bring a little balance before the cinnamon melted into the vanilla makes a comeback. The spicy ambience continues with ginger and cardamom, reminiscent of the little gingerbread men we eat during the holidays. 6:The vanilla-orange-cinnamon trio that leads the way on the palate is definitely reminiscent of Christmas. It's a tropical Christmas, and a particularly West Indian one at that, since these aromas are reminiscent of the famous schrubb prepared in the islands for this occasion. 5,5:The finish with thick sugar of an orange liqueur takes over, depositing this citrus flavor on the palate for a long time to come..

07.12.2025 Day 7 of my Christmas Calendar. Still find it very sweet. Christmas spices can be found in the profile among the fruits. ---------- Fruitiness and sweetness is way too dominant and too much for me to enjoy. I wouldn't classify this as a rum.

A fruity sweet beginner rum. Vanilla and caramel dominate on the nose and palate. Considering it has this enormous sugar addition, it is quite passable. For experienced rum drinkers, it is certainly too sweet.

Typical Riise, lots of sugar, spices and typical aroma in the nose that is present throughout the whole portfolio. Spices include, clove, cinnamon, vanilla. Nougat & caramel with hint of orange peel at the back are also present in the nose as well as taste. A little bit of cardamom in the nose maybe?

Last night at friends' place had some rum-based drink again. Riise and I just won't be friends. Nice words can't be found for this glue. It's a bit fruity. It's also sweet, maybe a bit too sweet. But only maybe...... If you like it, drink it, I'm out.

Nice, easy sipping rum with sweet and toffee base ☝️ Nose: Light and clear toffee/leather hints 👍 Body: Ok combination of sweet chocolate and toffee hints and leather on the other hand ... Finish: Leather body continues but not for too long ... Also some sweetness... A bit too sweet and fruity at the end 🤷♂️

That was the 4th rum tasted from Riise that evening and with this one my nausea began, like when you have eaten too many sweets. But not only because of that, because this rum is rather unpleasant to drink and feels very artificial. No recommendation, in no way.

A rum that pleasantly surprises. The aroma is sweet, with vanilla and a light honey touch. The taste is rich, with notes of dried fruit, spices and gentle wood. The finish is warm and long, with a hint of chocolate. It is a pleasant, easy-to-drink rum for those who like sweeter rums. Reminds me of Christmas :)

On the nose sweetness and vanilla. Fruit with some almond. On the palate very mild, very sweet, vanilla and light caramel, dried fruit as fruit. Soft and oily, medium finish.

After a few months, a Riise again and I didn't miss it. Smell and taste always similar and so sweet it almost hurts your teeth. On the nose orange, spices, vanilla and on the palate the typical profile of enormous sweetness with orange and caramel. Far from rum.

Not a rum as such, but still quite tasty. I recommend it for everyone who likes nougat/marzipan. But anyone looking for a genuine rum should stay away from this, as it is simply heavily spiced.

Tasted this one before the EU directive was changed (pre 2020), when it was til "rum". It has a candy-like sweetness, with vanilla and toffee in the nose, and also in the notes; toffee, vanilla and white tea. Not really my style

Burnt caramel and directly again this coarse sweetness in the nose. Mr. Riise, we are not going to be friends. Taste-wise, you're right back to liqueur. I mean, seriously? Besides the thick sweetness, you're actually quite thin and tangy on the way. Falernum or Spiced, but clearly far from rum.

This just doesn't hit my taste. The colour seems a bit artificial. The drink itself is too sweet, fruity and very alcoholic in taste. It is missing all the good rum flavours. Even the bottle says it is a superior spirit drink.
