Unfortunately, the taste is not in the app here. But this rum has an extraordinary celery flavor. Totally different from the spiced rums I've had so far. Really something special.

Better than the non-spiced version, but neither fish nor fowl: too little spices for an herbal schnapps, but also hardly recognizable as rum-based. Possibly suitable for people who find the company's herbal schnapps too sharp.

This is something completely different. If you know the Bavarian Forest and a Blutwurz and Bärwurz, you'll be impressed here. It has nothing to do with rum as you know it spiced. Conclusion: Blended Rum meets Bär/Blutwurz. The typical herbs of the Bavarian Forest are dominant. I think there are only two possibilities, either you love it or you hate it. Penninger has tried a completely new flavor direction here.

Stefan Penninger (III, I think?) is somewhere between expert, genius/innovator and totally crazy. One of the best at the distillery in Germany and in my opinion way too overlooked overall. Either way - Jamaica rum, spiced Bavarian style. That means celery, malt and all that stuff. Yes, seriously. And it works. Completely absurd on the nose, it continues like that in taste but strongly sweetened. Tiki buzz in the Weisswurst heaven or something. I give up on describing it, you have to experience this stuff. Boomer fun without cringe or anything. Great.
