This is an unsweetened rum aged for at least 12 years in oak and bottled in a very beautiful shaped bottle. It’s very smooth but overall it’s too weak in my opinion but the finish lasts quite long dispite it’s so weak.

No rum that particularly sticks in the memory. On the nose, hints of wood and smoke can be detected. On the palate, quite woody again, smoky and also slightly nutty. But unfortunately also too alcoholic.

The rum already smells sweet, with notes of vanilla, caramel, and cane syrup. In the mouth, the impression from the nose is confirmed. There's a hint of grass as well. The cask influence, like the alcohol, is only slightly noticeable. The finish is mostly short, but the alcohol lingers.
