Aroma visualization from community tastings
New Grove Savoir-Faire Ville Bague 2004
Surprise here is how much this drinks like an aged Armagnac rather than a tropical Mauritian rum. Wood leads, backed by cherry, dried fruit, tobacco and a dark-chocolate bitterness. Most tasters call it well balanced with a nice sweet-and-sour push, though several note the aromas and flavors fade fast. At 45% it stays composed and food-friendly.

Wood-driven, Armagnac-like aged sipper Most find it "very nice and balanced rum," wood-driven with cherry, dried fruit and an Armagnac edge. The recurring gripe: the nose and palate fade quickly.

Review by Rowald Sweet Empire
Pretty wood driven Mauritian rum. Armagnaccy. Good sweet and sour balance. Dried fruits. Thick. a bit of Tobacco. Not as "fresh" as younger New Grove. More complex in spiciness and "woody" flavours. Recommended if you're also into the more thicker flavoured Armagnacs/Cognacs and Brandies.
Review by Gyuli

Despite the relatively low alcohol content, it surprises both on the nose and on the palate with balanced woody notes paired with Armagnac, fruity, herbal notes. Unfortunately, the notes fade very quickly.
Review by Gunnar Böhme "Bauerngaumen" 🤓
Pleasant surprise. Beautifully woody in the positive sense. Unfortunately, a somewhat volatile fellow in terms of smell and taste. Very good PLV.
Review by Irbis
Very intersting rum. It is not dry, but not sweety as well. Has long dark chocolate taste. It is not simple and its 45 are definitely saver for this rum
Review by Christoph
Cherry blossoms, cherry and Armagnac on the nose. Super delicious sweetness on the palate. In the finish complemented by herbal notes.
Review by Jindrich Strobl
Very nice and balanced rum.
