8,5:On the nose, the first impression we get is from ageing in bourbon barrels, as orange dark chocolate is tempting with notes of fruit compote. Ripe plums and orange peel add energy to nose which also gives some light ginger notes and rich flavor full vanilla. Vintage leather could be noticed when the rum is well aired. Sauternes finish nicely complementing bourbon ageing... 8,8:On the palate, the first attack is with French pancakes, leading to tangerine sweetness and some apple notes, coffee. There is an underlying earthy note that adds complexity, followed by a sweet grape overtone (Sauternes) that lifts the taste again. A splendid balance between sweetness and earth, between bourbon ageing and French finish 👌. 8,6:The finish is long, as notes of candied orange peel and pear slices, coupled with a hint of smoky charred wood are delicious and balanced.....
