Just picked up a larger sample of this rum and sampling it while going through all the rums tasted during the German Rum Festival. This is not a bad rum, but like most of the other rums from J.M it's been watered down too much. The nose is light in its flavours and they're only released slowly. The palate is very different from the nose, but still very light and thin. There is a light bitter note in there as well. The finish is medium to long and again thin with a light bitterness to it.

If this J.M hadn't been so heavily reduced... it would have had potential for a top rating!! Unfortunately, as often with J.M, a pity.

For my taste, this rum has everything I love. The woody, rich, and aged side is very present both on the nose and on the palate. I recommend this rum for any lover, connoisseur, or even beginner. Not very powerful, of course, but it will delight the palates of many of us.

Very good Nice smell of vanilla, honey, and wood, and on the taste you feel the same plus almond, cinnamon, apple. Beautiful length 😍
