You don't expect a white, unaged rum to taste this loaded. Glue, banana, pineapple and fresh green sugarcane come at you with real force at 65.2%, then several tasters catch pear, coconut and even a mushroom-and-forest-floor note. Powerful but, as one member put it, "puissant mais maîtrisé" — big without turning rough. A South African take on Jamaican-style funk.

Edit: So now, how could it be otherwise, I've tried it as a mixer for a CubaLibre. It's really something different in the glass. I think it can really do something here. Simply delicious. But the points remain the same despite everything, no correction really necessary for me. Mhoba Night Was the last of the 6 different Mhoba. But the tastiest for me today.

Lots of intensity, a lovely sweetness and, in the middle, an astonishing note of mushroom and undergrowth (truffle). Unfortunately, it's too much for me too... Would a lesser degree make it more accessible?

Mhoba High Ester, I love these ester bombs. Of course you get the ester right in the nose and the tropical fruits come along too. Like I said, with cola this is really a great summer drink. On the palate you can also taste sugarcane.

14.04.2021 Relaxing at home with some new samples. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Intense, glue, ester, banana, overripe, vegetal, light olive, citrus. Palate Intense, oily, ester, light vegetal, fruity, overripe, polish, faint rubber, olive, light salty, citrus. Finish Very long and warm, ester, grass, pineapple, light olive, faint salty, light rubber.

A very good white Mhoba, which I primarily use for mixing. The herbal aromas are very evident here and of course the esters, which are not to be sneezed at.

This rum really has its own identity. It's powerful but controlled, the fruitiness dominating the nose fading in the mouth and disappearing in the finish to be replaced by a note I've already found in the French glass cask: licorice. In short, I like it a lot: funky and delicious, complex, evolving and powerful.

Wow, I didn't expect such a complex composition of spice and esters from such a young, white rum! Had to try it twice, really fun and very tasty! The alcohol is surprisingly well integrated. Top!

Very pleasant nose: pear and coconut, some white grapes even a hint of pineapple nuts, very light glue Palate, coconut, Brazil nut & cashew, pear and vanilla (without wood of course), slightly gluey, banana on the finish, slightly creamy, alcohol well integrated - I especially like the finish!

Very powerful nose, Jamaican type, and a second nose on sugarcane. Extremely powerful palate which, once the peak of pain is passed, gives way to an explosion of pastry, shortcrust pastry and almond. Honestly a revelation!
