Pineapple, strawberry and a fistful of fruit-gum candy — this unaged Savanna HERR leans so hard into artificial-sweet ester fruit that a couple of members compare it to strawberry liqueur or fruit brandy. At 57% the alcohol sits well-integrated, though a faint spirity note creeps into the finish. Oily, intense, medium-dry on the palate. Loud fun, not a daily pour.

08.10.2021 Enjoying some samples at home. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Intense, ester, fruity, pineapple, faint strawberry, overripe, floral. Palate Oily, intense, warm, medium dry, fruity, berries, light floral, spice, ester, light vegetal. Finish Long and warm, medium dry, fruity, berries, light olive, faint salty, light mint.

Unbelievable! Artificial, intense, children's fruit gum.on the palate has the almost what of strawberry liqueur (without ever having drunk something like that)

A great white rum that, due to long aging in steel tanks, besides its intoxicating and almost artificially gum-like fruity sweetness, has an exceptionally soft mouthfeel and is really fun to drink neat.

Small Savanna cross-tasting with the 57er Batches #2, #3 and #4 and the 2023 Savanna Herr. Batches 2-4 are all pretty much on par for me and bring a lot of fruit, gummy bear and chewing gum aromas. The 2023, on the other hand, seems much more artificial/medicinal/synthetic, which I don't like at all here.

Tasted gegeb the Habitation Velier. Both typical HERR with the corresponding pineapple Haribo and strawberry bubblegum notes whereby the HV is somewhat fresher and peppery with raspberry and this OB "purebred" strawberry-pineapple. Today, I prefer the OB a tad.

Everything an unaged Savanna HERR needs. Pineapple, strawberry, fruit gum, overripe fruits, ester power. Alcohol is well integrated. Unfortunately, minimal spritzy notes come through in the finish.

Small Savanna White HERR / Grand Arome tasting - May 2026 I like it. The 2020 HERR is clearly more on the fruity side compared to the 2022, with lots of pineapple, strawberry and chewing gum. The alcohol is also better integrated here.
