Candied citrus and orange blossom lead, backed by honey, dried apricot and a light note of fresh glue and rubber. This is a sugarcane-juice rum with a Sauternes-cask fruity, vinous edge that most tasters love. Then the wood arrives — dry, tannic, peppery, with dark chocolate bitterness on a long finish. At 58.4% the alcohol reads remarkably integrated. Not your typical agricole.

WoW what a great rum 🫨 Nose: Sugarcane, honey, fruity, dried apricot, pear, nutty, roasted, a lot of glue paired with a bit of rubber🤤 yummy Mouth: citrus notes, some delicious fresh coconuts, dried apricots, glue, cinnamon, licorice, oak and dark chocolate. The alcohol is integrated perfectly! Finish: Quite long, dry and delicious!

Edit Had it in the glass again today, but this bottling doesn't really pick me up In my opinion, this bottling is very much on the woody side. But that could also be because I forgot about it after pouring and it stood around covered for almost 1 1/2 hours. Still not bad, but I imagine that I've already had a better one of the series in my glass. Must have been the 2017 Thanks Joachim for the sample.

Lots of almonds, dried fruit. Fresher than the 2012.Complex, well integrated alcohol. Great nose (again)!Then in the mouth lots of wood (maybe too much), A variety of fruits and a very nice long finish. The flavors come in waves, it keeps changing in the mouth over 30 seconds, awesome!Mega agricole. I like a touch better than the 2012. en par with Neisson and Chantal Comte La Mauny.

I have to say, I liked the 2017 better because of the better integrated alcohol. Still top, but different. This one is spicier, especially pepper can be detected, but also clearly woodier, for which the pleasant sweetness is missing.

A superb nose that has everything to please me. On the palate, it's a little too alcoholic, with a fruit brandy aspect that I find less appealing. Perhaps also a little bitter for my taste. Nevertheless, it's a very good selection.

Like the other one the ABV pushes this one a bit further. Fruity with a spicy touch and smoky wood. The rubber is there on this one as well, very light but there. All in all very good rums, just sad they're so limited, but luckily our little "club" has a wide range of stocked rums from very old to the latest releases.

Flo's birthday tasting Rhum Liberation 2024-05-17: Better and more intense than the 2020s and 2017 Integrale. Spicy, floral, fruity. Alcohol nicely integrated, with pleasant warmth. I'd love a bottle of this.

Tasting of the 2015 and 2017. I will not be able to determine a winner. We have the two very good farm rums but I'm not thrilled with the wine barrel finish. I much prefer the rasta morris on this one.

Continuation of the tasting of the Rhum Rhum Libération series. 👃 Fruity and sweet! Candied citrus, orange blossom, sugar cane, flower honey, vanilla pod, dried apricots, orange marmalade. Nice treat of caramelized pear with roasted nuts. Very slight new rubber and model glue. Slight menthol freshness. Elegant, fine, tasty nose. 😋 Woody tannic and dry, oak barrel, spices, red pepper. Candied citrus, dried fruits, tropical fruit jam. Bitterness of dark chocolate and citrus. Herbal on tea leaves. ⛳ Warm, dry, spicy, peppery, woody tannic, light herbal, tobacco leaf, bitterness of dark chocolate. 💡 In the top 3 of FP. Personal order: 2015 LMDW > 2012 > 2015 58.4°

Was very excited to try this rum after having recently tried my first from Bielle, which I thought was fantastic. This one had a fairly simple nose for me oak, honey sweetness, vanilla and some fruitiness. On the palate the first hit showed some nice complexity right away. Upfront I was hit with a bit of fruity sweetness before the burst of spice comes in and takes over before settling into dry woody notes. All in all you’ll find hints fruit, wood, vanilla, pepper and some vegetal notes mixed in there. All in all, this one was a little more intense and in your face but complex and good. The first Bielle stood out to me for being complex and yet delicate, allowing the symphony of flavours to each have their own moment. Look forward to more in the future.

Integral Tasting 2024: In direct comparison with the 2017, it falls slightly short on the nose, but not worth mentioning. The aromas are identical. On the tongue, it goes straight past the 2017et in the fast lane with 250 things. Absolutely awesome and even more intense than the 2017. I need a bottle...

Magnificent 🤩 Superb nose, for the preliminaries... with fruit and wood, and a hint of glue. Then it's an explosion in the mouth. A little honeyed side, apricot and still the wood, a bit of wine and glue. I love it 😍😍

A great dram, a lot of chocolate and pralines, with the overlaying sweetness of an agricole even if without too many herbal notes Alcool integration is amazing and wood is not at all noticeable. A great liberation

Great mouth feel. Very fruity expression, white wine is also felt. Great balance. Only downside is it has some sulphur on the tounge.

I've had a bottle open for almost 2 years now, and I find that oxidation has made this juice sublime (like turning a wheel on binoculars to get a sharper image). The usual Bielle citrus is still detectable, but prunes and even hints of red fruit also come through. The fruity, vinous influence of Sauternes is there, without being overpowering. The finish is long, balanced and discreetly spicy... A sweet, rum dessert!

The nose is very fruity, alternately cherry, coconut and more powerfully tropical fruits appear. The wood is precious and the vanilla makes the whole even more indulgent. The palate is dominated by citrus, grapefruit in the lead. There is a slight spicy side with tobacco. The wood is light. Very pleasant palate but still below the nose. The finish is long and dominated by citrus. Superb rum as always with Bielle.

58.4°... Watch out for the nose... An approach in sweet and macerated fruits all with a little spice... In the end the 58.4° are not felt and they enhance the bouquet... Oh my... You can't resist tasting it... Incredible... The woodiness makes its entrance followed by a spike in spiciness, a surprising arrival of Cognac scents and the spiciness continues... A very long finish in the fruits and a very contained but present astringency... At the very end the esters reveal themselves without being excessive... What a rum... Always an incredible and evolving experience to live... Love at first sight... A favorite note. Too bad speculation is there.

some mango and cinnamon and young wood, at the beginning very adhesive and alcoholic on the nose of young wood and raisins with sweet wine... but this becomes much rounder after a few minutes breathing.taste then woody, bitter and dry and very spicy, slightly dark chocolate and mocha, light mango cinnamon hints and thyme, neat tannins and astringent. me personally but a little too bitter and woody overall.

Maybe it's me, but this rum appeals to me much less than other Rhum Rhum releases. I miss some complexity and balance; here red wine, wood and spices play a role that's too dominant for me.

What a great rum, I'm a fan of the Liberation Collection, especially this 2015 vintage, both in its reduced form and the sound of the cask after airing, you notice subtle honey pears stolen from the famous Bordeaux Sauternes cask. On the palate, there's a sharp alcohol attack, but the nose's indulgence is followed by woody notes of roasted chocolate and spices that dry everything out on a medium finish. It's quite complex and successful.

A rum that really brings me joy! On the nose a bit of glue, almonds/nuts, citrus tones. Very soft on the palate! At first roasted almonds/nuts. Then complex wood notes, vanilla, anise, spices. Finally a distinct apricot! Very pleasing!! Emits a “warmth” on the palate (can't express it differently). Will definitely need a big bottle someday!
