A fantastic Zacapa whose sweetness is even aromatic and supports all other aromas: vanilla, dried mango, some coffee and vanilla, and subtle wood. My favorite among the Reserva Limitadas so far.

02.03.2019 Enjoying some samples with a good friend. Colour Medium dark to dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, sweet, light herbal, fruits, light orange, light anise. Palate Light, wood, sweet, faint smoke, dried fruit, light orange, spice, light pear, light caramel, light anise. Finish Medium long, sweet, light anise, light apple, light nutts, faint floral.

2015 is better

Nose: caramel, toffee, chocolate vanilla but also anise. Palate: sweet, mild, roasted vanilla and subtle fruit aromas. Finish: slightly bitter, coffee and dark chocolate. Conclusion: Harmonious, mild rum with roasted aromas and notes of coffee with light fruitiness. Taste-wise, indistinguishable from the 2015 Limitada in a blind tasting. However, for the price, I have to pass.
