#4279 05.10.2023 Swapped this sample with Thunderbird and I like it. Compared to the price tag you get a lot for your money. Medium fruity and fresh with a spicy side. The palate is warm and has a light minty note to it. The finish is long and warm with roasted wood notes and a spicy touch. Draws really nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass is nice and has some mint, raisin and a light floral note.
A fruity pleasant nose, which is then followed on the palate by the typical spicy side, surrounded by vegetal aromas, the finish is just spicy vegetal, at the end follows some prune. It is somewhat similar to the Sponge RX13416
The nose has lots of funky sugarcane and molasses notes. There's also some hay with a touch of cardamom. A tad smoky but not much and a tiny amount of pineapple. The palate brings to mind a cognac, for me. Some bitter orange and pineapple keeps us in rummy waters. A prickle of ginger appears after a few sips. The finish is rather long. With tropical fruits a plenty and a muskyness that is intriguing. Mixed with coke it gives very unique notes of eucalyptus that doesn't come out when drank neat. As a daiquiri it has a lingering bitterness in the background but over all its very sweet and with a touch of funk. Overall I think I might have been a little harsh when scoring this in previous tastings so I'm adjusting. This is a nice and interesting sipper. Batch 1 - Bottle 246 of 403
