Tried at the 11th GRF: Good rum and generally an exciting product. Although I usually prefer bottlings with higher proof, I see this overproof version behind the standard, which benefits from the higher age.

Technically flawless and clean, herbal tea to flower meadow, strong nose, somewhat thin on the palate despite 60%.

At first sniff, you think more Jamaica than Germany. Very complex. The alcohol is well integrated.

Color: Pale gold. Smell: Very sweet with honey and some esters. Creamy with vanilla and mango. Taste: Sweet with honey and slightly fruity in the mouth. Alcoholic when swallowing, but surprisingly round and tasty. Vanilla and tropical fruit salad (mango, melon). Finish: Medium length. Alcoholic, spicy with vanilla and wood. Dry in the aftertaste. Conclusion: Wow, what a positive surprise. Really tasty.
