Sweet-rum drinkers who want a bit more backbone will get on best here. It's the familiar A.H. Riise candied-orange-peel profile — caramel, dried fruit, gingerbread — but the 60% ABV keeps the sugar from taking over. Members call it one of the better, less artificial Riise bottlings, though most still land on "still too sweet." Expect heat that needs time to settle.

Of all a.h.riise in terms of price-performance probably the best. Alcohol fairly well integrated, overall still way too sweet. Aromatically not too artificially like the other riise bottlings...

19.12.2025 Day 19 of my Christmas Calendar and this is also a pretty sweet rum with a very Christmas like nose. The palate is spicier than I remember. --------- Still sweet but better than the previous one. Better balance but still needs to rest for a good while for the ABV to balance out

Yes, there is a "bite" from the alcohol, but it brings an internal flavor of stewed cherries, burnt fig and cigar box and a citrus note on top that provides a good balance The aftertaste fades slowly and creamy

Despite 60% alcohol content still too sweet. It's well integrated but I miss some complexity. On the nose fruity-sweet caramel notes, on the palate pineapple and orange notes come through.

Smells very alcoholic. But I can smell dried fruits. Taste-wise rather woody I think with a long alcoholic finish. I have to say not my thing and there are better ones.

Typical A.H. Riise with lots of sweetness but this time better balanced due to abv. Thanks to 60% abv the sweetness is less intrusive. On the other hand alcohol could be integrated a little bit better as it needs to sit for a while to allow the 👃 to open up otherwise the alcohol kills the other nuances. Definitely one of the better if not the best from riise. It is still fairly sweet but power helps to balance it

A mellow and sweet rum, could be too sweet if it wouldn’t be for the 60% alcohol. The high alcohol content balances it all up, it brings a touch of warmth and some strenght which completes the rum very well with the sweetness. A bit too sweet aftertaste, but far from bad. A great rum for those who likes sweet rums.

Typical A.H. Riise, very sweet, pronounced citrus, almost to the point that the 60% alcohol content is lost, but maybe that's why it's balanced in taste. Definitely a well-drinkable AH Riise.

The fifth one from the Danish Navy range I've tried in suggestion. The whole series is overly sweet and all about candied orange peel, but this one is a tad more balanced and diverse than the four others.

Nose: despite the high alcohol, the aroma is rather gentle, dominated by balsamic and mocha with orange peel. Taste: alcohol is more present but in a nice and integrated way, along with the nose tones we can feel pineapple and coconut. Finish: richly creamy with notes of dark chocolate.

Schöne Kupferfarbe In der Nase direkt der Alkohol und dazu getrocknete Früchte. Der Geschmack ist süß, wahrscheinlich bedingt durch die 60% aber nicht zu süß. Starker alkoholische Geschmack mit Früchten und der typischen Orangennote von Riise. Von den bisherigen Riise der Beste, weil nicht soo extrem künstlich aber immer noch zu süß.
