Bottle Market Bremen October 2024. Yesterday a nice Cadenhead's. Nose is mostly herbal, mint stands out here. On the palate also lots of herbs, very spicy and cinnamon is also noticeable.

Tasted at the "Pueblo del ron" and immediately the first highlight. Round, palatable, fruity - the incarnation of rum made from sugar cane juice as you would imagine it.

Tasted at the 2nd German Armagnac Festival. It was great in advance. About the rum itself, a delicious piece that Catawiki had again. Nicely balanced and a nice interplay of flavors. Tasted very good. As far as I can tell.

So far the youngest 1998 Bellevue I've had in the glass. Feels noticeably fresher and with less wood influence than (the sometimes significantly) later releases. Nice fruit notes and spices. Like (almost always) high 98 Bellevue quality, but in my eyes, the bottlings gain more depth after additional years of aging.

A very nice rum where the price tag is spot on. The nose is sweet with orange, spices, mint and caramel with very light oak. The flavours become more obvious in the empty glass after a few hours. The palate is fruity with spices, honey, grass and herbal notes as well as light oak and tobacco notes. The finish is long with dried fruit and spice with light oak and tobacco.
