Here's the surprise: for a Spanish-style Peruvian, it leans drier than you'd expect. The nose is honeyed and soft — vanilla, caramel, dried fig — while the palate stays velvety with dark chocolate, walnut and a little cinnamon spice from the oak. One taster called it a Millonario in a less sweet register. Balanced and easy, if not especially deep.

I just got this one from my supplier and its pretty decent and a one time only release. The nose has spice notes from the oak as well as walnut, caramel and vanilla. The palate is simple and velvety with smoky fruit and cinnamon. The barrel also shines through with some nougat and chocolate. The finish is sweet and medium to long with oak and some baking spices.

Tasted once during an online tasting of Spanish style rums, and now. First time was better, the second time it seemed to lack a deeper character. (I may have tasted too many Demerara and Jamaicans in the meantime.) It is, however, solid.

A nose caresser. Honey-sweet aromas shoot straight into the nostrils and charm you with a velvety soft, fruity taste of absolute bliss. Taste-wise, gently appealing and lively with a fine sweetness of light honey. Kissed by rounded dried fruit. Slightly drying on the palate in the finish.

Very nice in taste, relaxed Peruvian, very balanced. Basically a Millonario but less sweet. Simply round in the mouth. Could easily be a daily flavour booster or sipper for me. Fits well.
