Unfortunately, it's not my kind of rum. The fruit on the nose doesn't seem clean to me. There's not much from the barrel either, apart from a little spice. The coconut, vanilla and marzipan notes give me a synthetic impression. It's very sweet on the tongue. I suspect that sugar has been added (and not a little). You can also taste the bitter alcohol (and that with 40% alcohol). Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with the quality that you get here for not a little money.

Ein großes Dankeschön an meinen Lieblingsnachbar aus Stuttgart! Leider gibt “Vom Fass” nur spärliche Infos an, somit bleiben viele Details im Dunklen. Ich finde diesen hier jedoch extrem ähnlich zu dem Plantation XO, gleiche Süsse, überwiegend frische Kokosnuss. Leider kann ich keine Verbindung zu mir bekannten Destillen auf Barbados finden.

Ein Barbados-Rum, wie man ihn schon häufig hatte. Erinnert stark an den Plantation XO 20th Anniversary. Leider finden sich keine weiteren Infos zu dieser Abfüllung, weshalb mit einer Dosage gerechnet werden muss. Ziemlich stolzer Preis für die ungewisse Rumqualität, die man hier geboten bekommt.

Dann Nr. 3 vom Geschenkset Vom Fass hinterher. Diesmal geht es nach Barbados. Gefällt mir bisher am besten. Wir haben hier jedenfalls sehr viele (tropische) Früchte, vor allem Kokosnuss, in der Nase und am Gaumen.
