4 Chairmans im direkten Vergleich: 1. Chairmans 1802 sehr fruchtig, Vanille, zunehmend mehr Gewürz, ausbalanciert, mit der Zeit am Gaumen immer süßer. Viel Bourboneinfluss. 8.5 Pkt. 2. Chairmans Rum&Co Vergleichsweise mehr Früchte, insbesondere Kirsche. Vanille und Süß im Abgang. 8.5 Pkt. 3. Chairmans 2008, Rhumattitude Völlig anders, viel Bourboneinfluss und noch mehr Kokossnuss! Ähnelt einem Foursquare oder Belize Rum. 81 Pkt. 4. Chairmans Excellencerhum Sehe Adstringent, viele Kräuter, Holz, Früchte im Nachklang. 87 Pkt.

Eine sehr schöne Abfüllung, ich habe sofort einen Aprikosenduft in der Nase. Verbunden mit Minze und Zitrusmarmelade…sehr vielversprechend. Am Gaumen erst das gleiche Zusammenspiel, welches aber relativ schnell auf dunkle Schokolade, Holz, Lakritz und Piment wechselt. Cremig und intensiv kommt er daher. Der Abgang ist dann weiter auf der schweren Seite mit Holz, Tannine und Schwarztee.

Pour un première fois a Saint-Lucie je suis complètement conquis. On a toute sorte de fruits la dedans avec ce boisé (Toasté / Fumé) qui nous amène des épices douces (Cannelle / Vanille) du chocolat ainsi qu'une grosse gourmandise (Pâtissier). De plus cette long fermentation distillé en pot amène des notes empyreumatiqued qui se marient parfaitement avec le reste (Cuivre / Caoutchouc / Plastique / Vinaigre). On trouve aussi des notes surprenante que je m'attendais pas à trouver la dedans comme une belle fraîcheur assez végétale traduit par (Eucalyptus / Thé noir / Sève / Céréales), alors que a côté de cela, cette grosse mélasse apporte aussi du (Caramel brûlé / Sirop d'érable). Tout a fait mon style de rhum. Vraiment sympa !

Mit nur 8 Jahren ein relativ junger Chairman‘s im Vergleich innerhalb der Master‘s Selection. Mit einer schönen Balance aus Holz, Süße, Würzigkeit und Frucht (Apfel, Birne, Banane / tropische Früchte). Etwas Gummi, Eucalyptus und Tee. Stark für das Alter.

Dieser Rum überzeugt mich leider nicht vollends, dennoch handelt es sich um ein hochwertiges Produkt. Rauchnoten und erdige Aromen sind zu dominant vorhanden, welche mir nicht zusagen. Falls diese gefallen, ist der Rum deutlich höher einzustufen. Ansonsten gibt es auch viel Frucht, Vanille, Floral, Gewürze.

Sehr guter Chairman's, hatte schon zu lange keinen mehr. Dieser hier ist sehr fruchtig in der Nase, vor allem tropische Früchte, hat aber auch etwas Karamell und Holz. Am Gaumen sind Holz und tropische Früchte ausgeglichen. Außerdem etwas Vanille.

Je länger der Rum im Glas war, desto besser hat er mir gefallen. Am Anfang war da noch eine etwas störende Rauchnote. Mit der Zeit wurde er fruchtiger (Richtung Mango) und süßer. Gewürze und etwas schwarzer Tee.

"St. Lucia World Cup Tasting ultra fruchtige, esterreiche nase. Fruchtkorb pur der nach und nach etwas Melasse und Gewürze bekommt. Bis hier hin meine liebste Nase. Im Gaumen ein süß runder anklang, Schmeckt wie ein Appleton auf Speed, ich mag das sehr!"
