Opinion here lands middling-good: a Nicaragua-Jamaica blend where the soft Nicaraguan caramel tends to muffle the Jamaican fruit rather than let it sing. Expect ripe banana, peach, raisin and vanilla over a rounded, warm body. Several tasters like it as an easy, accessible pour; a few wish it hit harder and note it drinks a touch sweetened and heavy.

Slightly sweetened unfortunately and you can tell... However, you still find some quite juicy fruits, orchard fruits (pear / mirabelle / apricots), tropical ones (mango / banana / light coconut) with some candied citrus like marmalade orange. The whole thing quickly becomes spicy (ginger / vanilla / cinnamon) with a syrupy side brought by slight sweetening unfortunately (honeyed / syrup / caramel / brioche) which blocks the aromas and leaves a heavy and a bit pasty texture... Finally a hint of wood with a small vegetal side (grass / floral). Too bad this rum is sweetened, it’s heavy and thick... Tasted with a cherry clafoutis from the garden.

A flowing Jamaican heart in a good Nicaraguan caramel. It's quite pleasant. Reduction makes it very accessible but slightly reduces the rum's complexity, which still retains some punch. Very cool to start tasting the range. I think it's a Hampden or a Long Pond.

Another very nice blend well made from twelve. It's less my thing than the Guyana or Barbados + Jamaica blends but it's very well done. It will definitely please someone looking for a softer and easier to drink product than a very typical and strong alcohol blend.

End of Rhum Fest 2024, a bit complicated, Not very striking compared to my Réunion/Jamaica that I have at home.

The nose is fresh and fruity (white-fleshed fruit). Rather elegant. The palate is sweetish (pear, quince) with a ginger-like spice. The palate also has a strong bitterness as if you bit into an orange seed... Not a fan...

The nose is nicely fruity, Jamaican. The palate is more pastry-like (leaning towards candy) but lacks breadth, with little spice. The finish remains fruity. A blend that doesn't quite live up to its promises.
