Overall a very tasty unaged Agricole that’s remarkable smooth for an ABV at 60%. Branca is one of many brands produced by Engenhos Do Norte in Madeira. Madeira is btw the only place outside the French Oversees Departments that’s widely recognized as a producer of Agricole.

No, I actually liked the natural one better. The Hampden Rum Fire is way better than this one. It's just an unaged Agricole, fruity, floral and grassy, you can also recognize sugarcane, with a bit of fire 🔥

Fiery greetings from Madeira. I had it brought for mixed drinks, a good product for 18€. Also nice to sip neat sometimes ;-) Fruity sweet on the nose, I'd say mostly apricot, with grassy notes. The palate is surprisingly sweet, you can taste the sugarcane. The alcohol is definitely there but not disturbing. Here the fruity notes lean more towards lychee, again with grassy hints. The finish is short to medium length and continues the palate, with slight bitterness. A really nice thing for the price.

A super fruity and floral nose. Lemon peel, red currants and apricot mixed with the usual agricole style cut grass and sugarcane juice. A touch sharp. The palate is not as fruity as the nose. The floral grassy, sugarcane notes are still there, though it's more peppery. There's also a subtle touch of honey in the background. The firey pepper chills out for the finish but still present. The subtle honey also lingers. Medium in length. A good example of unaged Maderian rum. Not the best agricole-style rum I've tried but there are far worse.
