Many call it the best of the Flor de Caña line — drier and woodier than the sweeter younger bottles. The recurring gripe is the alcohol; a few taste heat or a slightly watery, bitter edge that time and water help.

Pleases me despite his lesser age clearly better than the 25er. Somewhat sweeter, fruitier and more intense tangerine, but not as woody as his older brother. At the same time richer fruit notes, than the 12s, 15s or 18s. My favorite among the Flor de Cañas.

The best Flor de Cana so far. Still disappoints with poorly integrated alcohol. Gave it time to rest and some nuts eventually revealed. It's decently on the dry and woody side.

A pretty good release especially when looking at the price tag. Fruity, well rounded with nice spices and wood. Nice and oiky on the palate and it draws really nice curtains in the glass.

👃🏼 = upfront woody, caramel, roasted hazelnut, ripe tropical fruits, a bit of cinnamon and the alcohol already expresses itself. 👄 = we add fat, chocolate, a note of vanilla with a normal and gourmand length, and the presence of alcohol all along. In the end, we have a decent Nicaraguan eau-de-vie, consistent with Flor de Caña products, in a beautiful package 👍

Last sample that I brought to Turkey 🥃 A rather decent rum with some sweetness in the nose. Also caramel and some nuttyness is present. The notes gave way to vanilla, oak and roasted nuts, with an oaky and peppery finish

In total, very tasty, strong and complex rum, nose and tongue really good, hardly sweet, nice spicy-woody, flor de cana style well recognizable, unfortunately remains for me a certain sharpness that clouds the good impression

On the nose it offers more than in taste. It is not bad, but unfortunately a bit watery and slightly bitter on the finish. Paradoxically, it gets better with a bit of water, as it gains additional aromas (even more chocolate) in taste.

Clairement le meilleur du Line up, mais surtout différent de la gamme. Plus boisé, plus profond, le profil est différent. Moins caramélisé, plus épicé. Sans être monstrueux c’est plaisant pour finir cette masterclass.

An oaky aroma, with just a hint of the bourbon casks. Maybe some treacle as well. The oak and bourbon continue with the taste. More burn than I had expected, but in a good way as it left me with a warm feeling. Mixed was nice, but stick to sipping. A drop of water brought out a little tobacco flavor.

Ein Rum mit dem man sich schon länger beschäftigen kann aber auch einfach zum wegschlürfen. Nicht zu komplex. Noten von Nuss, Schokolade, Trockenpflaumen, Karamell und Marzipan. Leckerer Stoff!
