Ferroni Cuba 2011 – 58.5% This rum, imported and reworked by Guillaume Ferroni, comes from the Santo Domingo De Villa Clara distillery in Cuba. After an initial maturation in ex-Bourbon casks, it spends three years in Provence in first-fill ex-Roof Rye Whisky casks. 🔹 Nose: typically Cuban, marked by caramel. 🔹 Palate: fruity but dominated by a marked alcoholic intensity. After a powerful impact, the alcohol softens slightly, giving way to concentrated nuts. 🔹 Finish: tannic, with a strong influence from the rye whisky cask. A structured and bold rum, but the alcohol is too present.
