Asta Morris T.D.L Rasta Morris 2007
"Trinidad, so all the berries" is how one member sums it up, and that's the heart of it. Honey, black tea, peppermint and menthol carry a fresh, herbal profile, with dark sour fruit and a light floral touch underneath. The mouthfeel is oily and full, the finish long. At 67.5% it stays surprisingly drinkable, though it needs to sit open a while and takes a few drops of water well.

24.02.2024 Great tasting event at Whisky Watcher with food and lots of bottles. Retasting and I stick to my initial score. ------------------------- #4466 12.11.2023 Looking at the price tag you can make a good buy with this rum. Needs to rest for a good while before giving it a go or you'll be disappointed. Medium intense with nice fruits and spices. The palate is oily and warm and the finish medium to long. I love the light floral touch ok the profile. The empty glass has nice raisin and a touch of caramel.

For me, this rum is a real disappointment. Have the feeling to have a different rum in the glass than in the other reviews - but they are partly bottled from my bottle 🤷♂️. Have now tried for the fourth time to perceive more, but I can not find anything. The nose is sweet and one-dimensional, light fruit, light tobacco, nothing else. The mouth shows great density, but aromatically it unfortunately brings little more than the nose, but the alcohol stings in the finish. This is sounds like a real tear-down, but it's not that bad, it's just upscale mediocrity in the Spanish style. Too bad absolutely no dirty TDL 😪

The nose already announces a very powerful rumAt the palate I think to drink a herbal schnapps! Incredible how strong this rum is this side. In addition, there is licorice, salty olives and all encompassed by a nice sweetness! With a few drops of water it gets even better - the 60% are already noticeable. The aftertaste is looooong and brings the flavors of the palate again - especially licorice. This rum is very similar to the RA Trinidad 2002 (RX7783) but m.M.n. better and also has a better price-performance ratio.

Great nose, lots of honey, heavy fruit notes of dark red sour fruits. In addition, some vanilla and chocolate. In the mouth, however, somewhat disappointing, an intense and complex flavor profile is unfortunately absent. In the finish, vegetable and sour fruits can be found again. Mhm, actually a good rum, which is still missing that certain something.

A very closed TDL. In the nose and on the palate it does not want to unfold properly. I find unfortunately no or hardly mint and overall it is not a very good TDL for me. The rum itself is nice to drink. Nice candied fruit and a pleasant barrel influence. But as a TDL too well-behaved. Does not come close to the RA 2002. Blind I would have guessed a Panama rum with Virgin Oak finish.

insanely good TDL! extremely much mint, menthol, lavender, lemons, bergamot and grapefruit peel, very fresh and intense with lots of essential oils and Relativ wenig wood. plus some mirabelle, honey and black tea. like me very much! 🤤🤙

The seventh tasting of the night at Whisky Watcher the 24th of February 2024, with nice company. A very trinidad-like rum in the nose, with hints of rubber and wood, and notes of diesel, peppermint and dried fruit. An oily mouthfeel

A good T.D.L. With pleasant profile that comes along very round! Class!
Review by Johannes
While better than younger TDLs due to a slight mint note, overall quite one-dimensional.

Black tea with honey, quite high amps for me
