Another great ester bomb from Jamaica. Very delicious rum. The bouquet in the nose is amazing! The alcohol could be integrated better. Normally i would give a 84 rating, but the original price per value was excellent, so +2! I had no exact plan of what to expect here. The well-known Jamaica funk combines here with honey and dirty aromas. I like it! The short finish prevents a higher rating. Very easy to drink. Second tasting

05.09.2025 Retasting and I still find it pretty good. ================= #5090 11.02.2025 enjoying some samples at home. Colour Light to medium dark. Nose Fresh, fruity, light citrus, ester, light polish, faint earthy, light roasted, faint wood. Palate Faint wood, faint smoke, ester, fruity, light licorice, light pineapple. Finish Long and warm, light wood, fruits, light banana, faint floral, light licorice. Empty glass Fruits, light earthy, faint chocolate, vanilla, pineapple.

I like it on the nose 👃 on the palate I'm a bit torn. Both nose and palate: great sweetness, lots of solvent, glue, esters, tropical fruits, fermented, spice, salt, bacon – but also a bit sour. A bit less acidity and more orange would please me better.

Awesome super fruity ester bomb. Reminiscent of a high-ester WP. But also somewhat reminiscent of LROK The Younger, only this one is a little rounder and less perfumed. It's crazy that it was once available for 50€...

A high-ester fruit bomb! Grilled pineapple and solvents then long nothing, followed by a slight malty spice. In the mouth the rum stays super fruity with gummy bears and an acidity that lightly tingles on the tongue. The alcohol is fantastically integrated. The rum remains always harmonious. In the finish more pineapple now somewhat unripe and bitter. For an absolute top score it lacks some complexity beyond pineapple and a more intense finish. For me somewhere between the RA JNY 2009 and the Kill Devil Hampden 2007. At a fantastic price!

Both on the nose and on the palate: pure glue and nail polish remover, some overripe fermented pineapple, sour-salty and bacon-like umami at the same time. Very funky and ester-heavy. The alcohol is very well integrated and overall a rounded thing if you like lots of glue!🤙 Plus originally an absolutely unbeatable price-performance ratio!

Ester bomb. Grilled pineapple. Slight anise notes in the finish. Stays wild in the glass even after a long time. Really awesome in a Mai Tai. And great value for money at 50 euros for 0.7l.

On the nose initially a full load of esters, fried pineapple, banana. Then follow anise and a hint of vanilla. On the palate first minimal sweetness and fermented pineapple, the alcohol is super integrated, the rum spreads oily velvety with lots of wood, salty tones and anise. The finish is medium long with wood, slightly bitter and anise! A good Long Pond! The price-performance ratio is excellent here!

When drinking lacquer suddenly becomes fun... great nose, which I would most describe as nail polish with fruit aroma. Behind that comes a spicy note with orange, which overall strongly reminds of gingerbread. On the palate then surprisingly sweet, with great ester notes (fermented pineapple), which finally turn slightly woody. Long Pond surprises me again and again. Not a rum for one evening, but if it may be a bit wilder, just right!

Tastes quite young. Would have preferred it to mature longer in the tropics. Think it's more suitable for cocktails. Still a nice rum.
