Hampden fans who like the lighter LROK mark will find plenty here: banana, pineapple and glue on the nose, buttery honey on the palate, with young oak building toward a long, oily-clinging finish. It starts filigree and light, then turns fuller and richer. Several tasters flag that it's sharp straight from the bottle — give it 15 minutes to settle. Marzipan and plum round it out.

Very light, filigree Hampden at first. Incredibly drinkable. Towards the end then heavier and fuller-bodied. Very light mouthfeel, alcohol also super integrated. By far the best LROK I have ever drunk. The price is unfortunately on the level of the other Birds.

This is a lovely rum with a touch of wood and fruits from nose to finish. Slightly alcoholic straight out of the bottle but after resting for 15 minutes it settles very well. I detect a hint of nuts and marzipan. Hard to find but very good quality.

Hampden! What can I write that hasn't been read yet? Of course, this one also offers many tropical fruits, of course, banana and pineapple naturally, but esters and glue are also recognizable.

Great LROK that starts very lightly and becomes fuller over time. Besides the typical Hampden aromas, you find mirabelle and surprisingly strong buttery notes. You have to give the rum some rest after opening because it is very alcoholic at first. After 15 minutes it improves drastically.

After having had several Birds in the glass, I come to the conclusion that they are not really worth the money. I'd say this bottling is okay and solid, but nothing that would move me to buy a bottle.

Alcohol is very well integrated. Fruity, marzipan, pleasant acidity, light sweetness that reminds me of light grapes. That is already well balanced and simply a great LROK. Unfortunately at absurd prices.

A pretty good LROK where the woody part dominates on the palate and finish. LROK is not my preferred mark at Hampden, but this one definitely convinces. However, the price-performance ratio here is not in balance.

Tropical fruits, caramel and chewing gum, plus lots of ripe exotic notes. The esters and the age blend well together. An easy overall combo with well-integrated alcohol. A successful low-ester rum, pleasant to drink, with tropical ripeness par excellence. The finish is long, tasty and nicely oily-sticky.

Tasting RX 9275 on 24.06.2026 given by Mr. D Jungberg. Nose: Fine fruit, roasted nuts, light cask influence. Classic top LROK nose. Palate: Tropical fruit, banana and pineapple, mirabelle buttery sweet notes, light marzipan. Slightly bitter olive. Glass: Sweet, light cask. Tasting “In The cave”

The nose has beautiful ester Hampden notes. Certainly with bananas and some plums. On the palate a worthy Hampden with a certain spiciness. I quite like it, as quite a bit remains on the finish as well.

If you look at the price tag it is ridiculous but if you see a 10y Hampden Single Cask LROK it is absolutely stunning ❤️

Very alcoholic at first, but once you let this rum sit in the glass for about 15 minutes this rum really opens up. On the nose: Mild ester and glue notes, woody, fruity, buttery notes. Outside of typical Jamaican rum notes i get plum notes and hints of baking spices. Balanced. Taste: Butter and honey notes at first and then you get more acidic, estery pineapple and banana notes. Maybe marzipan notes at the back towards the end. The abv is present and could be slightly more better integrated . Finish: Warm and fruity at first. Then you get light woody and spicy notes. Finishes dry with hints of fruity notes. I dont have much tasting experience on LROK-mark rums, but this one was really good. However, as a pro tip, try it before you buy because its not really worth of the price in my opinion

What a delicious LROK! Upon opening, you can still smell the sharpness, but after a few minutes, it gradually becomes calmer and sweeter on the nose. A wonderful fruity, sweet aroma. Dried banana and pineapple. A touch of young, light oak also emerges. Very smooth on the palate at first, and then it really takes off! Wonderfully strong, it develops with lovely fruity notes and a typical hampden bite, yet still light. A fruity rum with a bite. I love it.
