Coffee runs the whole show here — roasted beans, cappuccino, cocoa dusted on top, a little vanilla and a spiced-rum edge. One taster called it a "liquid mocha with alcohol," and that's about right. Built on 2-year Cuban column-still rum from Paraíso, it drinks more like a coffee liqueur than a traditional sipping rum. Best in cola or a cocktail rather than neat.

Smooth palate, sweet at first, quickly turning to spices. A touch of spiciness and alcohol present. Excellent to taste! This was the first quality Ron I was introduced to, and with it I realized that there is a lot to enjoy and learn about in the world of this complex drink.

Fantastic Cuban rum. I tried this at a rum tasting event over zoom and it was incredible. This history of this rum is fascinating and very complex . Tasting notes had a dry start not tobacco, followed by chilli peppers and finishing with cacao ... I think Foursquare is a nicer spiced rum if you prefer sweeter but for dry lovers out there , this is the stuff

Black Tears - I could have this one after having previously drunk a 27yr Clarendon. At least just a free sample, which - if declared as coffee liqueur - would certainly not be a bad product. Coffee, or rather cappuccino and vanilla shape the flavor profile; alcohol is not noticeable.

Well it’s a spiced rum so I don’t have high hopes… Like an alcoholic coffee - roasted coffee, cocoa powder that you dust on a cappuccino, cappuccino, mocha, tiny bit of vanilla and some cinnamon. The nose transfers to the palate however it does get a little too repetitive taste wise…. I’ve drank worst than this however I see why spiced rum isn’t generally discussed outside of mixers or cocktails 4/10 - basic stuff for when your backs against the wall with little to no selection left
